Argentina is one of the giants in the national football team and is known to have a huge passion for football. Argentina was the host in 1916 when the first Copa South America (the predecessor of the Copa America) was held. In those days, South American football was dominated by Argentina and Uruguay.

Before the World Cup was established, the Olympic Games were the most prestigious international events. He decided to retire in 2016 after Argentina lost to Chile in the Centennial Copa America final. However, he was destined to play football. He is the only player in history to win five FIFA Ballon d'Or and the first player to win three European Ballon d'Ors. During his career, he broke many world records.
